DJ-Ology, “The Science of DJing” is an organization that was created by Scott King with the sole purpose of teaching and educating DJs on the ways of the DJ life and all things that revolve around being a DJ. It started out as a Youtube tutorial channel and has morphed into an Online Twitch Streaming channel and private Facebook group of DJ/VJs that have come together to learn and grow with each other. From learning software like Serato, Virtual DJ Pro, Adobe After Effects, Unreal Engine and MixEmergancy, to learning how to talk on the mic and even doing theme park stage shows. Since we have close to 400 members in the Private Facebook group there is at least one person that is an expert on something and we share our knowledge with the rest of the group.
Since the pandemic stunted the growth of so many entertainers the online community really started to take off and bloom because so many DJ/VJs were stuck at home. Groups of DJs started creating streaming channels on platforms such as Twitch and Scott King AKA DVDJ King thought if something was going to become of this for the future than DJ-Ology better get on the ball and create a channel of its own. Since the creation of the Twitch Channel in March of 2020 it has had a variety of streaming DJs from around. As of now there are over 60 stream keys out to the talent that plays on the channel.
DJ’s have donated their time and have come together for a noble cause when performing on this channel. The channel as a whole is proud to say it has donated over $700 to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital and has found a way to keep our minds off of the current pandemic and make something good out of being out of work for so long. We appreciate all your support of the talent, friends and family.
